It is hard to believe that it is two years ago that I was at the Wedding and Portrait Photographers (WPPI) conference in Las Vegas. The world had become familiar with the idea that there was a virus floating around, but no one had any idea that we would spend the so long dealing with it, and that we still aren't completely finished with it. Shortly after we returned home, things started to shut down, and, as they say, the rest is history.

As a portrait photographer, I have been shut-down for almost the entirety of the pandemic, usually as a result of government direction, but also by my own choice, deciding that opening wasn't worth the risk to me, my family or my customers. I haven't been completely at a full stop, however. Behind the scenes I've been improving my methods, learning new ones and polishing up things I should have been doing before, but just never seemed to have the time for.

One of these "new and improved" changes is to my website, which had been completely rebuilt by Focal, a BC based company that specializes in websites for photographers (bookfocal.com). If you are reading this blog, you have found me. The web address is still the same: terrytinkessphotography.com and I am also sending out notice through my various social media accounts to help you see what I have been up to.

The portfolio on my new site has some new images as well as some of my favourite ones. The blog has all my past blogs ported here, so you don't need to find me on Tumblr. You can also book appointments online and check my availability for wedding, engagement and portrait sessions.

I'm happy with the changes and I hope you will be too. Feel free to send me an email if you have questions or message me directly from the site. If you notice something that doesn't seem quite right, let me know that as well. I'm doing the final inspection of the live site over the next few days, but an extra set of eyes is always welcome.

Stay safe, stay positive and remember that your actions always have an effect. If you want respect though, you have to first give it.

I'd love to work with you
