August 1sthas come and gone, and we are well into the back half of 2019. So many people who visit our studio have commented on how time passes so quickly: “Where did the summer go?’ they ask, and I, of course help the situation by mentioning that the leaves have already started to turn and that it will be cold again soon enough.
It seems, to me at least, that we always seem to be lamenting that which is gone and spending time thinking about the things to come. I’ve got nothing against reminiscing (the basis of what I do is built upon it) or planning, because it is always good to be ready, but just maybe we should spend more time on the here and now. You can never step in the same river twice, so why not just splash around a bit while you’re there? Enjoy what presents itself to you. Be a participant, not a spectator. There may never be a next time.
